In this special event packed with interesting facts about trains, railways, mystery stories and how to be a good detective, Maya and Sam will also talk about their adventures writing together and what goes into researching their books. The authors will reveal how they come up with the ideas for the books and share their passion for the wonderful world of railways explored by Harrison Beck, the drawing detective, and his travel writing uncle, Nathanial Bradshaw. You’ll be treated to a dramatic reading from the newest adventure Danger at Dead Man’s Pass, which takes Hal and Nat to the peak of the Harz Mountain in Germany to solve the mystery of a deadly family curse, a demonstration of the science behind a steam engine, a question-and-answer session, and an exclusive teaser about the fifth book, Sabotage on the Solar Express, coming in February 2022!
