She always replies to hand-written letters, but if she’s busy writing a book then it can take some time. Make sure you enclose YOUR ADDRESS. She cannot reply if you don’t, and if you are writing a second letter, please don’t assume she’s kept your address from the first. She gets a lot of letters. To be assured of a swift reply, enclose a stamped addressed envelope and please be patient, she is a slow writer and very busy making up stories.
